Digital X-rays and 3D CBCT
Safe treatment begins with a clear picture. We take panoramic X-rays and, where needed, three-dimensional CBCT scans (also called 3D X-rays), which show teeth, bone and the path of the nerves in three dimensions. We work with the Orthophos SL by Dentsply Sirona.
- Only as much imaging as needed
The field of view can be tailored to the question at hand, from a single tooth to the entire jaw. That way we never capture more of an image than is medically necessary.
- Low dose, following the ALARA principle
In low-dose mode, a 3D scan sits within the dose range of an ordinary panoramic X-ray. We use X-rays deliberately and as sparingly as possible.
- Confident planning, fewer surprises
Working from a three-dimensional picture, we plan implants, root canal treatments and surgery with precision. That makes procedures more predictable and protects the surrounding structures.
Innovation and technology
-
Low-radiation 3D CBCT imaging
For complex diagnoses we use 3D CBCT: high-definition three-dimensional images with as little radiation as possible, for safe and predictable treatment planning.
-
Intraoral scanner
Goodbye to uncomfortable impression trays: the intraoral scanner digitises your teeth in minutes, with maximum precision and zero discomfort. The digital basis for splints, prosthetics, aligners and implant planning.
-
Digitally guided implant surgery
Digital 3D planning and a precisely fitting surgical guide make implant placement more accurate. A smaller opening is then often enough. This matters most when several implants are involved and when bone is in short supply.
